Our "People of PSG” series is an opportunity for friends of the Public Safety Group to get to know the people behind the products and services you know and love. Each article will feature an interview with a PSG team member and will provide insight into their role, why they choose to work for PSG, and some fun facts about the team member. You won’t want to miss this series!

Today, we had the chance to chat with Makenna Lane.

Tell us a little about yourself and your position at the Public Safety Group.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I ventured to Florida for college to become a personal trainer, but came back soon after graduation because I missed having a Dunkin Donuts on every corner. I started with the Public Safety Group in October of 2017 as a Sales Administrator, became a Digital Account Manager in November of 2018, and then started my current role as a Customer Success Executive in June of 2019.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

The best part of my job is the people, both inside the organization and the customers. I love building relationships with customers and performing product demonstrations on our technology platforms. Also, working with my teammate Kathy Roethig is another one of my favorites things.

Outside of work, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?

Outside of work, I like to be active. I am a runner, a yogi, a swimmer, and currently working on the GOATA (Greatest of All Time Athletes) Movement. I enjoy taking hikes with my dogs and playing or watching sports as much as possible. That being said, most nights I’d rather be watching Netflix and going to bed by 9:30 PM.

If you could live anywhere, and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live and why?

If I could live anywhere, it would be California. They have the beach and the mountains...it’s unbeatable!

Stay tuned for the next "People of PSG" feature!
