Recert Continues to Grow: All-New Game-Based Courses Available Now!
Our Recert team is pleased to announce the availability of two new game-based courses focused on cardiovascular and respiratory disorders. Practitioners who successfully complete either of these courses are eligible for one hour of continuing education through CAPCE!
Learn more about these unique courses:
Cardiovascular Disorders: Game-Based Lesson (BLS/ALS Edition)
Heart and blood vessel diseases or cardiovascular disorders are the leading cause of death globally.
This course discusses the anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of patients presenting with chest discomfort and describes the process for applying the NAEMT Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) Assessment Pathway to assess patients swiftly. It also describes the ongoing assessment process to rule out or confirm potential diagnoses, and adapting treatment and management based on patient response and findings.
Respiratory Disorders: Game-Based Module (BLS/ALS Edition)
Treatment of shortness of breath can often be challenging given the difficulty in determining the etiology of a patient’s symptoms. EMS practitioners must therefore focus on those therapies proven to benefit the patient.
This module reviews the anatomy and physiology of the airway and ventilation and differentiates between respiratory distress and failure. Additionally, it presents two different respiratory distress case studies in which the AMLS Assessment Pathway is used to manage patients who are short of breath.
