Fall Prevention & Protection Awareness for General Industry (GI) is an introductory online safety course on general fall protection requirements. Injuries due to falls are common in the workplace, often listed in OSHA’s Top 10 violations every year. This online safety course will provide a basic awareness of common concepts to look for to prevent falls and ways to enhance fall protection across general industry sectors.

By taking this course and completing it successfully, you will be able to:

• Recognize fall hazards in your workplace
• Identify basic OSHA standards for fall protection
• Identify ways to prevent a fall
• Recognize protection systems for potential workplace fall hazards

Employees who successfully complete Fall Prevention and Protection Awareness will receive a completion card for 0.5 hours of continuing education.
