OSHA: Hazard Communication for Managers and Supervisors (HazCom/GHS)selected product title

This advanced OSHA HazCom for Supervisors & Managers online training course includes introductory and specialized materials which will enable supervisors to better recognize and eliminate, or reduce, Occupational Safety and Health Hazards in their work environments where there are hazardous chemicals. This course also reviews, in relative detail, OSHA’s revised Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements for hazard classification, safety data sheets and product labels.

By taking this course and completing it successfully, you will be able to:

• Describe the supervisory responsibilities for providing and maintaining safe and healthful working conditions for employees with respect to hazardous chemicals;
• List the fundamental elements of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard as it applies to employers;
• Identify and locate other OSHA standards that align closely with OSHA’s HCS (i.e., OSHA’s Subpart Z);
• Develop and/or implement an employer’s written Hazard Communication Program meeting OSHA’s expectations to include the hazardous chemical inventory, recording, reporting and availability of hazard communication information;
• Select and utilize supervisor/managerial tips and tools for worker training and information surrounding hazardous chemicals, dealing with spills, detection and abatement of hazardous chemical hazards, and motivation of subordinates toward promoting safe, healthful and compliant work practices;
• Recognize when additional HAZCOM training or retraining for employees is needed;
• Identify two sources of additional information on HAZCOM.

Employees who successfully complete Hazard Communication for Managers and Supervisors (HazCom/GHS) will receive a completion card for 1.0 hours of continuing education.
