Did you know?
In the 2017 Edition of NFPA 1002, the requirement that a Driver/Operator be certified to the Firefighter I level was removed and job performance requirements from NFPA 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications were added. This means that driver/operators who operate pumpers and mobile water supply apparatus are able to operate outside of the immediate dangers to life and health (IDLH), but must have an understanding of specific Fire Fighter I topics.
