OSHA Recordkeeping and Reporting for workplace injuries and illnesses is an advanced online safety course for supervisors and managers. This course is based on OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1904 and includes the recent Improve Tracking Final Rule updates to the standard, which are scheduled to take effect January 1, 2017. The primary focus of this OSHA reporting course is the importance of keeping a proper record of injuries and illness to prevent and minimize similar accidents in the future.

By taking this course and completing it successfully, you will be able to:

  • Recognize the requirements specified in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1904, including those effective as of January 1, 2015 and January 1, 2017
  • Recognize OSHA’s criteria for a recordable injury or illness
  • Identify and successfully complete recordkeeping forms 300, 300A and 301
  • Recognize the rules for reporting fatalities and serious incidents, including applicable 2017 electronic injury and illness data submission guidelines
  • Recognize 2017 anti-retaliation protections for workers who report injuries and illnesses

Employees who successfully complete OSHA Recordkeeping and Reporting will receive a completion card for 1.0 hours of continuing education.
